Independence Day Celebration with the Filipino
Community in Hong Kong

The Philippine Consulate General, in coordination with the Philippine Association in Hong Kong (PAHK), celebrated the
110th Anniversary of Philippine Independence with the Filipino Community in Hong Kong with a Mass, Parade and Cultural Presentation held
at the Chater Garden and Chater Road, respectively on 15 June 2008. More than 102 Filipino associations, with over 800 participants,
participated in the activities. The activities showcased the colorful variety and culture of the Philippines as it displayed the regions
in their costumes/dresses and offered a mix of street dancing and cultural dance performances.
