The Philippine
Consulate General in Hong Kong is inviting interested individuals to join its OAV
Educators Pool who will be tasked to implement the Voters’ Education campaign in
the Filipino Community of Hong Kong in preparation for the upcoming national
elections on 11 April to 10 May 2010.
The
educator-volunteers will be deployed to various sites in Hong Kong to orient
voters on the procedures for the automated election process in Hong Kong as
well as underscore the significance of such a political undertaking for the
Philippines.
Volunteers
must be Filipino citizens, and must be prepared to do their volunteer work on Sundays
beginning on 24 January 2010.
Interested
individuals may sign up with the Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) Secretariat of the
Philippine Consulate General at telephone number 2823-8533, 2823-8536 and 2823-8534
on Sundays to Thursdays from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, except on declared holidays. Please
