Bagong Bayani Awards 2002

The Philippine Consulate General through the Office of the Labor Attache is now accepting nominations for the Bagong Bayani Awards 2002. This year's search has two levels, the first of which is the selection of three (3) land-based OFWs as "Bagong Bayani sa Country" in 10 designated jobsites. The second level is the final selection of the 10 land-based Bagong Bayani Awardees which will be done in Manila. Being selected from one of the designated jobsites, the nominees from HK will automatically qualify for the final round. The nominees should possess the following qualifications:

A Filipino citizen who works overseas (land-based/sea-based)
An OFW who regularly remits income to his/her family in the Philippines through established Philippine banks
Must have served his/her present employer for at least two years
Has no derogatory records
Has earned the trust and confidence of his/her employer or has received citations for outstanding service
Has made a significant contribution to the well-being of his/her countrymen
Contract muist have been processed by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration.

Nomination forms are available at the OWWA Office, Philippine Consulate General, 14th Floor United Centre, 95 Queensway, HK SAR.
