Bishop Zen To Officiate Mass For the Filipino Community

The head of the Catholic Church in Hong Kong Bishop Joseph Zen will officiate a Special Mass for the Filipino community in Hong Kong on Sunday, 23 February 2003, 4:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Immaculate Conception Hong Kong Cathedral in Caine Road, Central. 

Representatives from various Filipino Catholic Communities from different parishes in Hong Kong will be participating during the mass. Filipino priests in Hong Kong have also been invited to concelebrate the mass with Bishop Zen.

Choirs from the Filipino Catholic communities of St. Francis, St. Jerome, Holy Spirit, Mary Queen of Love, Couples for Kids, and Sto. Nino de Praga will lead the singing during the mass. Volunteers from St. Martha Catholic community, the Love of Jesus Group, St. Theresa's Filipino Catholic group and the Annunciation Parish Catholic Community will assist in the Eucharistic celebration as ushers, collectors and servers.

The officers and staff of the Philippine Consulate General led by Consul General Victoria S. Bataclan will also attend the mass. 

The program for the mass is being coordinated by the Consulate, the Diocesan Pastoral Center for Filipinos (DPCF), and the Kapisanan ng Manggagawang Migranteng Pilipino (KAMMPI-HK).

Members of the Filipino community, their families and friends are invited to attend the mass.
