2002 Food Hygiene Campaign

The Food and Environment Hygiene Department recently informed the Consulate General that its Risk Communication Section is organizing the "2002 Food Hygiene Campaign" in Hong Kong with the theme 'Enhance Food Safety Let's Reduce Risks'. The campaign's objectives are to introduce the concept of risk and risk management in the production of food to the general public and to promote the application of Food Safety Plan to enhance food safety.

The seminars will be held free of charge for all Filipino domestic helpers on 7-8 September 2002, (Saturday and Sunday), at the Theatre, Low Block, Hong Kong City Hall, Central, from10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. A combination of lecture and video showing, the seminar will be conducted in English. All participants will be issued certificates of attendance while certificates of merit will be awarded to those who will get perfect scores to the quizzes after the seminar.

The Consulate General is inviting all domestic helpers in Hong Kong to avail of the free seminar. Seats are limited to 400 persons per session so it is suggested that interested parties should submit the completed registration forms (copy attached) by fax to 2787-3638. Those who could not fax in advance their reservation forms may still submit their enrollment forms on the day of the seminar but must arrive at the venue earlier than the scheduled time.
