Philippine Food Festival at Marco Polo Prince

A Philippine Food Festival will be held at the Spice Market, Marco Polo Prince, Kowloon, from November 7-24, 2002. The festival will feature three sets of daily lunch,  and dinner buffets at affordable prices to be prepared by four Filipino chefs from the Marco Polo Hotel in Davao.

There will be two cultural performances daily by the Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group for the duration of the Festival at the Spice Market.

A trip for two to Davao will be raffled off at the close of the Festival. Philippine Airlines will donate two (2) HK-Mla-Davao-Mla-HK air tickets while Marco Polo Prince will arrange complimentary accommodation of the winners at Marco Polo Davao.

As a supplementary promotional activity, the Ramon Obusan Dance Troupe will perform at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University at 5:00 p.m. on November 20, 2002.

The Philippine Association of Hong Kong, chaired by Ms. Lulu Salazar, the Promotion of Philippine Arts, Culture, and Education Society (PACES), chaired by Ms. Sheila Tan Pascual, and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong have pledged support for the project.

The Festival is sponsored by Philippine Airlines, Marco Polo Prince Hotel, and PACES, in cooperation with the Philippine Consulate General, the Office of the Tourism Representative, and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Hong Kong.

The Consulate is encouraging other Filipino groups and companies in Hong Kong to also lend their support to the event by inviting friends and acquaintances for lunch, tea, or dinner at the Spice Market.

This activity is intended to promote Philippine trade and culture as well as to drum up interest in Visit Philippines 2003.
