PCG-HKSAR OPENS BANTAY BATA 163 COIN BANKS

On 27 October 2004, the Philippine Consulate
General in Hong Kong SAR opened the first eight (8) filled Bantay Bata coin banks initially
placed at the Consulate premises after the launch of PCG support for the Bantay Bata 163
Program last 27 September 2004.
The amount of HK$ 6, 034.20 yielded by the coin banks were turned over to the Philippine
National Bank representative Mr. Gary Tan and was deposited to the Bantay Bata 163
Foundation account through the PNB Hong Kong Branch.
The opening of the coin banks was witnessed by the Consul General and other personnel.
The Consulate hopes to generate more donations for the Bantay Bata Foundation in the coming
months and thanks the members of the public of their generous support.
