29 New Teacher Appointments Received

The Consulate General is pleased to announce that twenty-nine (29) new teaching appointments under the Balik-Turo program were recently received from the Department of Education in Manila. The appointment papers will be released to the following teacher-applicants from Hong Kong:

The appointment papers were sent to the Consulate by Mrs. Lolita Brana, President of the National Organization of Professional Teachers (NOPT). She is currently in Manila making representations and coordinating with the Department of Education officials regarding the Balik-Turo program. To date, 265 OFW-teachers from Hong Kong have so far received their permanent teaching appointments.

The above-named teachers are requested to come to the Consulate on Sunday, 08 September 2002, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, to receive their appointment papers.
