Philippine Tourism Sales Mission To China The Consulate General is pleased to announce that a delegation from the Philippines, led by Tourism Secretary Richard J. Gordon, will embark on a tourism road show from 08 to 17 September 2002 to officially launch the Department of Tourism's Visit the Philippines 2003 campaign in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong SAR. The delegation, composed of officials from the Department of Tourism, the Philippine Convention and Visitors Corporation (PCVC), elected government officials, and the private sector related to the travel industry, is scheduled to visit Hong Kong from 14 to 17 September 2002. On the occasion of his brief stay, Secretary Gordon will pay a courtesy call on his counterpart, the Honorable Stephen Ip Shu-Kwan, GBS, JP, Secretary for Economic Development and Labour, and Ms. Selina Chow, Chairperson of the Hong Kong Tourism Board. He will also meet with the members of the Filipino community. The Consulate General will release further information on the specific program arrangements and schedules related to the visit.
