First Asian Women Migrants Sports Tournament The Philippine Consulate General is encouraging all Filipino associations in Hong Kong to participate in the first Asian Women Migrants Sports Tournament in Volleyball and Basketball to be launched on November 10, 2002 at the Bayanihan Sports Ground. The event aims to promote camaraderie and sportsmanship among Asian migrant workers: Filipinos, Indonesians, Thais, Sri Lankans, Nepalese, and Indians. All the participating teams are required to join the parade on the opening day. A panel of judges will select the Best Uniform and Best Muse for each category. Competition begins on that day. A specially selected committee will be assigned to each category. All the participating teams will be notified for a meeting with the official committee to discuss the rules and regulations of the games. Major prizes and some special awards will be given at the end of the competition. A copy of the registration form can be downloaded here . A registration fee of HK$ 500 will be collected for each category.
